Lenten Food: Guinataang Hipon or Crab

Lenten season is coming and fasting is observed during that days, so to spice things up, we want to still serve some delicious foods without ruining our fasting tradition. So today, I will share with you my readers the other delicacies we could eat this coming Lenten season. 

1st delicacy is guinataang hipon or crab.

Let us first define the words, guinataan and hipon?

guinataan means cooked in coconut milk. While hipon is the tagalog term for shrimp, it is a seafood.

After knowing what is the definition of guinataan and hipon, let us now move on what are the ingredients needed in our guinataang hipon or crab.

The ingredients needed are the following:

• 1 k. fresh shrimp or live crabs
• 3 cloves of garlic
• 1 onion, chopped
• 1 1/2 coco cream of 2 coconuts
• 1 pc. ginger, size of a thumb and pounded
• 1 pc. dilao, pounded
• 1-3 pieces hot pepper (according to taste)
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1/3 c. green onion, cut 1 cm. long

Procedure:

Shell shrimps, devein, place in a saucepan. Add the thin coconut milk, ginger and dilao. Let boil until shrimps turn red. Add coco cream, hot pepper and salt. Just before serving, add green onions.

Just follow the procedure correctly then its good. You can now enjoy some Filipino delicacies.

Dead Space 2

Dead Space 2, another thrilling game for those of you out there who is thirsty for some awesome game.

Engineer Isaac Clarke returns in Dead Space 2 for another blood-curdling adventure in the sequel to the critically acclaimed Dead Space.

After waking from a coma on a massive space city known as "The Sprawl", the lone survivor of a horrific alien infestation finds himself confronting a catastrophic new nightmare. Battling dementia, hunted by the government, and haunted by visions of his dead girlfriend, Isaac will do whatever it takes to save himself and dominate the gruesome onslaught.

With an arsenal of tools to dismember Necromorphs and new determination, an engineer will bring the terror to space.

My brother had finished playing this game a month ago, and I should say that everytime he is playing Dead Space 2, he was like "shiiit", because honestly and seriously he is shocked and nervous at the same time because of the effects and sudden twist of the game. The animation and the story itself is really effective although the ending is quite predictable. But even though I haven't played the game at all, I will based the rating on my observation while my brother is playing it, I would give it a 3.5 out of 5.

The other thing about the Dead Space 2 is the techniques used, because whenever the mission is you know to find or retrieve something. Some games makes it easier for the players to find it, but in Dead Space 2 it wasn't like that. This is a good thing though, because when fear and nervousness kicks in, it could affect the players, so the mission that was supposed to be easy becomes difficult, so nice one EA and Visceral Games.
