Descriptive Essay: “My Own Wonderland”
Once upon a time there is a kingdom where everybody is united, where every creature is splendid in their unique form, where every tree bears the sweetest fruit that everybody would definitely love, where the weather, crazy it may seemed but it depends not on the season, but it depends on what the emotion the current leader has. The sun shines when he’s happy, thunderstorms arrives when he’s angry, it may suddenly rain if he’s sad, and the weather maybe warm enough if he felt love. But it changed when one creature defies the order of the king.
The kingdom once perfect is called Kingdom of United. It is ruled by the great King Siam Pu, who’s age is unknown, but from his fair skin, thick hair and deep eyes, you could tell that his a royalty capable of making the right things. He ruled his kingdom with his wife Queen Becky, with her small frame and with her enormous knowledge comparable to the goddess Athena helped her husband ruled their kingdom. King Siam Pu and Queen Becky bear a wonderful child named Princess Betchay, a beautiful girl who was born with a large heart, which is said to be a gift from their Gods for the purpose of still waiting to be unveiled.
After 18 years of peaceful leadership. A royal ball had been order to celebrate Princess Betchay’s 18th Birthday; it is also a gathering to announce the next heir to the throne. The trusted assistant of the king, Foxy Dog had been in the king services for 40 years making him the most trusted servant of King Siam Pu. Foxy Dog has a fury body and strength that is comparable to a Fox and yet he is a dog with an average body structure. By just one bark, he could manipulate things, except the royal family. Foxy Dog is also the one responsible in managing the royal ball the king had started.
When the royal ball started, all the guest from the Kingdom of United arrived with their impressive attires as a respect to their king. The palace was filled with glittering lights, loud chatting, hungry guest and foods that you could only taste once in your life. When the Royal Family appears at the celebration with their attires sewn by the best dressmakers in their town. The crowd became silent.
King Siam Pu, with chin up, announces his gratitude to all his fellowmen, asking the Gods for more blessings to arrived, and announces that his daughter’s birthday is also the same day to celebrate as her daughter will be the crowned princess. At first the crowd was silent with amazement, and then a huge round of applause arises as people celebrate the crowned princess. Everybody was enchantingly happy except the Foxy Dog.
After the royal ball, when everything is done, and everybody is starting to end their day with a goodnight sleep. Foxy Dog walks all his way alone to his headquarter at the palace, deeply thinking. When Foxy Dog arrives, some servant minding their business noticed that he was a bit quiet after the huge announcement. Then a huge howls that shakes the ground was heard when Foxy Dog barks. All the servant was awaken by the loud howl. Then Foxy Dog said, “Are you all going to be satisfied when our new leader is a queen? And has no experience with what real life is?” The entire servant said no, then Foxy Dog said loudly, “Then this insanity must end. The king is not on his right foot when he made the announcement awhile ago. We must make a protest, if he does not agree with us, then we have to take the responsibility of creating a new and refined kingdom, and without a mercy, destroy this infested kingdom we now have.” The entire servant was quiet, shocked and thinking their brains out. They wonder at first, then the next thing, they chant a loud agreement on what the Foxy Dog had said.
During the night, after the royal ball. They made their plans to protest, assigned who will do what. When everything planned is perfect. The sun started to rise, waking up all the people. Then at the front door of the palace, where it is still quiet. The protest started, every servant shouts the same thing repeatedly.
“WE DON’T WANT A QUEEN RULING THIS KINGDOM!!!”
When the guards cannot handle the Protestants, the king showed up, with his pajamas still on. Everyone went quiet again. Then the king asked, “Who started this protest?” The Foxy Dog went steps in front of the king. Then Foxy Dog said inches away from the face of the king “ME” The king was shocked at first then gathers his strength to talk.
“Why are you doing this nonsense?”
“Is ruling this kingdom, also nonsense to you my highness?”
“What are you saying? That I am wrong with my judgment? That my daughter is incapable of ruling this kingdom? ”
“Yes, you are wrong your highness. Your daughter will be no use in this kingdom. We are here to tell you our highness to reconsider your decision and pick another heir to the throne.”
“I’m afraid; I can’t change the things that were supposed to happen.”
“Then we have no choice, but to destroy this kingdom once loved before with all our hearts.”
The king took a step backward and didn’t talk, instead command his guards to arrest all the Protestants. But they fail. All of them quickly disappear like a ghost including the Foxy Dog.
After the blood rising talk with the king. Foxy Dog and the servants found a little place, smaller than a rat’s house where they could hide and plan their violent destruction on the Kingdom of United. The Foxy Dog, gathers all the attention the servants. Then Foxy Dog said when all eyes are on him,” In order to build another kingdom and destroy everything that competes with it, we must have the money, gold, scrolls and resources. And in order to get that according to the good witch I met years before, we must open the heart of the chosen one. And there lies the key to a fortune all of the worlds were looking for” The entire servant were amazed again and wondering again and again. Then Foxy Dog howls “You all fool, you didn’t get what I said. We have to open the heart of Princess Betchay, we have to open her heart so we could find the fortune every world wants and if we succeed. Kingdom of United will fall and a new kingdom will rise feeding the appetites of all people with the fortune we will have for eternity.”
The Foxy Dog and the servants started to plan again, this time with tactics and with their brains. When the sun starts to wave goodbye. The Foxy Dog was wondering’ alone on their camp, talking to his self about what’s going to happen the next day. “We have to capture her before the morning comes. I just hoped that no one would be along our way and destroy everything that we had planned today.”
3 hours before the rising of the sun. The servants walked all their way to the palace which is still covered with fog because of the anxiousness the king had felt. They walk like a ninja without a noise, and everything was going according to plan.
When the servants was steps away from the room of the princess. They got into the room as quietly as they can. There they found the princess, sleeping gently, covered with the finest silk to protect her from the coldness. As quick as a light, they carried the sleeping princess without a noise to their camp. When the morning slaps the face of the princess. She woke up tied to a wooden chair, with the room filled with filth and with a smell that could make you dizzy for days. She cried out if there’s anybody out there. When the servant outside her room heard it. He called Foxy Dog. As quickly as he could Foxy Dog immediately went into her room. Then Foxy Dog said to the princess.
“Good Morning my little crowned princess”
“Foxy Dog? What am I doing here? Where’s the king?”
“I believed that your daddy won’t be here to save you my little crowned princess. You’re here because I believed you have something that I could use.”
“You could use? Then what is that exactly, I would gladly give it to you.”
“You would? Even if what I needed was your heart? I don’t think it would be that easy”
“My heart? What for?”
“I don’t need to explain everything to you. Not anymore”
As the eyes of the princess starts to form a droplets of tears. The Foxy Dog raises his hand commanding his servant to get a knife.
As the servant hands the rusty knife to Foxy Dog. The princess cries a little message to her parents, preparing herself to the next life.
Then Foxy Dog said, “Don’t cry my little dear, this won’t hurt. It would only take a few seconds to end the life of the king’s precious big hearted daughter...”
As the knife were inches away from the sweaty skin of the princess, an unknown guy with a mask covering his face that matches his dark outfit showed up and holds the hand of Foxy Dog.
“If I were you I wouldn’t kill her”
“Who do you think you are?”
“I don’t have to tell everything to you…”
As the unknown guy grabs the knife away from the hands of Foxy Dog. A servant kicked him in the back, but it doesn’t stop him, instead he kicked the servant back that was immediately on the floor. As the rest of the servant went against him. He kicked, punched, pushed; hit every one of them gracefully like a dancer who knows every step. When everybody was down. The unknown man turned his attention back to Foxy Dog who knees shakes like spaghetti. As the unknown man grabs Foxy Dog, he quickly tied him up to the chair next to the princess.
After tying Foxy Dog to the chair, he quickly released Princess Betchay from the tight string that was tied on her. When she was released, she didn’t mind her mild bruises that she got. Instead she immediately asked the unknown guy what his name was.
“It doesn’t matter, your safe now. Your father, my king will be here soon. Don’t forget to tell him what this guy tried to do to you.”
“As you wish. I deeply give my gratitude to you young gentleman.”
After a blink of an eye. The unknown guy was gone. The guards of the king saw the speechless princess sitting on the same chair since that morning.
Weeks later, after reviving from that traumatic experience the kingdom had encountered. The palace once again plan a royal ball, only this time, it would celebrate the return of the lost princess and her coronation as the new ruler of the Kingdom of United.
Everybody was on their feet preparing the royal ball as the new servants were hired. The planning of royal ball were manage also by the new servant who told the king where Princess Betchay was held captive.
At the night of the celebration, everybody is wearing a smile on their face as they saw their new queen looking splendid among the rest, going down the long stairs covered by a red carpet. The lights surrounding the palace that reflected on her soft skin make her more respectable and perfectly beautiful.
After the Queen Betchay makes that strong entrance to the party. Minutes later, the guest started to talk again to each other, drink socially with their red wines, laugh intelligently with each other thoughts. When it’s already getting late and everybody starts to gather their coat, getting ready to leave the ball. Queen Betchay gathers all their attention. Then she said,
“I owe to the Gods, this second life they had given me. When I was a kid, I remember a poor kid approaching me and point a finger to my heart and said to me that, this will be the answer, that I should give it freely. When I did try to give it to my abductors, I thought that I fulfilled my destiny, but I was wrong. What the poor girl really means is that: My love for my fellowmen is the answer to the storm that this kingdom had encountered. Whenever this storm arrives, I should give my love to you all freely. That’s why as appointed by my father King Siam Pu. I Queen Betchay stand before you today and accepted the responsibility of being the queen of this Kingdom for the better brighter tomorrow.”
As the queen ended her speech, some cried with tears of joy while others chant for gladness and honor to their new Queen Betchay.
